Personal Statement

Sabina Bera, M.D., M.S., is an Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychiatry at ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ and Assistant Attending Psychiatrist at NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Behavioral Health Center.

Biographical Info

Dr. Sabina Bera completed her psychiatry training at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, where she also served as Chief Outpatient Resident in her final year. She also trained at UCLA-Kern in California before being awarded the Jeanne Spurlock Congressional Fellowship, where she served as a health policy fellow on the United States Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions. As training physician, Dr. Bera was selected to work onthe ABC News Medical Unit as a medical expert. She is passionate about empowering people with knowledge to make well-informed decisions about their health.      

She holds a M.D. degree from St. George’s University and a M.S. degree in physiology from San Francisco State University. She completed her undergraduate degrees at the University of California, Berkeley in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Religious Studies.
